One main display. One or two ambient displays.Windows · Direct3D 11 · Displays in Extend mode
YOUR EXISTING SETUPNo external RGB lighting hardware is needed. Ambient Sync uses one or two secondary monitors as ambient displays, following the colours near the edges of your main screen. RGB device control is not included.
You need Windows x64, a Direct3D 11-capable graphics adapter and at least two monitors in Windows Extend mode. Assign one source display and up to two ambient displays. Both portrait and landscape layouts are supported.
Yes. Pause hides the lighting while keeping the session ready to resume. You can also choose priority applications whose windows remain above the lighting, or use optional game-focus pause.
HDR-aware lighting interprets the captured source and adjusts colour conversion separately for each ambient display. It does not switch Windows or game HDR settings. Results depend on capture support, monitor capabilities and picture settings; physical colour matching is not calibrated.
Capture depends on the application, Windows and graphics configuration. Protected video content and some fullscreen or adapter arrangements may not be capturable. Borderless or windowed mode can help with supported games.
No. Ambient Sync processes screen pixels locally to calculate lighting colours. It does not save or upload those pixels, and it has no analytics or Ambient Sync account requirement.
